AP-MSME Export Development Convention 2025 Inaugurated in Visakhapatnam

The India SME Forum, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation, Government of Andhra Pradesh, successfully inaugurated the AP-MSME Export Development Convention 2025, a two-day transformative, supported by the Government of India and the World Bank. With 18.6 lakh MSMEs present in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the event is designed to empower them with enhanced access to global markets, finance, and technology.
Amidst a rapidly evolving global trade landscape marked by rising U.S. tariffs and shifting supply chains, the convention comes at a critical juncture to help Indian MSMEs diversify export destinations, reduce dependency on traditional markets, and build resilience through new international partnerships.
The inaugural day of the AP-MSME Export Convention 2025 witnessed an inspiring start with the presence of senior dignitaries from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, foreign embassies, industry associations, and financial institutions. The event brought together over 250 MSMEs from across the state and 35 international buyers and SMEs from 13 countries, including Costa Rica, Egypt, Ghana, Hungary, Malawi, Nepal, New Zealand, the Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
The international delegation was felicitated by Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Sri P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, MLA (BJP); Sri Tammireddy Siva Sankara Rao, Hon’ble Chairman, AP MSME Development Corporation, Government of Andhra Pradesh; and Shri R.V. Pradhamesh, Additional Commissioner, Customs Commissionerate, Visakhapatnam. The dignitaries extended a warm welcome to the international participants and expressed confidence that the convention would foster meaningful global partnerships and significantly enhance Andhra Pradesh’s export potential.
Delivering the Special Addresses, Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, Hon’ble Minister for MSMEs, Government of Andhra Pradesh, said, “Andhra Pradesh stands at the threshold of a remarkable transformation, powered by visionary leadership and an unyielding commitment to innovation. Under the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s guidance, our state is embracing futuristic technologies, building robust industrial clusters, and empowering MSMEs to scale from micro to global enterprises. With policies tailored for every sector, common facility centres to strengthen competitiveness, and financial inclusion through enhanced credit support, we are creating a thriving ecosystem for entrepreneurs. Today, Andhra Pradesh is not just fostering business; it is nurturing a culture of enterprise, excellence, and global collaboration. Together, we are shaping a new era where every family can dream, build, and lead as entrepreneurs of tomorrow.”

The first panel was titled "Empowering Exports from Andhra Pradesh: Policy Imperatives" and focused on climate-resilient infrastructure, logistics, and digital trade ecosystems to enhance MSME competitiveness and establish Andhra Pradesh as a leading export hub. The second panel, "Boosting E-commerce Exports from Andhra Pradesh," featured discussions by exporters and digital trade experts on how online marketplaces are opening new global opportunities for MSMEs, including women entrepreneurs and artisans.
The day concluded with the International Delegate Introduction and Presentation Session, where 35 international buyers and delegates presented their sourcing requirements, regulatory frameworks, and partnership models for engaging with Indian MSMEs. The session witnessed an encouraging response, with the total projected business requirements from visiting buyers amounting to approximately INR 174 crore, underscoring the strong global interest in products and capabilities from Andhra Pradesh’s MSME sector.
Participating MSMEs also had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one interactions with international buyers, presenting their products, innovations, and export capabilities across diverse sectors. These networking sessions catalysed the establishment of direct business linkages, enabling enterprises to explore partnership models, joint ventures, and long-term sourcing agreements. The dynamic exchanges not only helped MSMEs gain valuable insights into international market requirements, regulatory frameworks, and buyer expectations but also opened up new avenues for sustained export growth and cross-border collaboration.
Building on the strategic insights and policy discussions of Day 1, Day 2 (10th November) transitioned into a results-oriented agenda, driving tangible business outcomes and strengthening international market linkages.
Pre-scheduled B2B meetings brought together 171 Andhra Pradesh-based MSMEs, representing high-growth sectors such as Agro & Food Processing, Automotive & EV Components, Pharmaceuticals & Biotech, Electronics & IoT, Engineering & Precision Tools, Textiles & Technical Garments, Renewable Energy, and Chemicals & Specialty Materials, with over 35 international buyers and delegates.
Throughout the day’s intensive interactions, MSMEs showcased their capabilities through live demonstrations and one-on-one discussions, underscoring their strengths in quality, innovation and scalability. The sessions led to on-the-spot export deals, factory visit agreements, supply partnerships, and joint venture discussions, translating dialogues into meaningful, result-oriented partnerships.
The AP-MSME Export Development Convention 2025 concluded on a high note with the signing of 25 MoUs between Andhra Pradesh-based MSMEs and 35 international buyers.
Notably, the convention also saw participation from 60% first-time exporters, 22% women-led enterprises, 18% from marginalised sections of the society, reflecting Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to inclusive, broad-based, and equitable export development. This remarkable outcome reflects the growing global confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s MSME ecosystem and its pivotal role in propelling India’s next wave of export-led development.
The event culminated with an inspiring Valedictory Address by Sri Tammireddy Siva Sankara Rao, Hon’ble Chairman, AP MSME Development Corporation, Government of India, who extended heartfelt appreciation to all international delegates, participating MSMEs, and partners for their active contribution to the convention’s success. He reaffirmed the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to enhancing export linkages, promoting innovation, and boosting MSME competitiveness on the global stage.
The AP-MSME Export Development Convention 2025 concluded on an inspiring and successful note, paving the way for new global partnerships, expanded export opportunities, and a stronger, internationally integrated MSME ecosystem for Andhra Pradesh.
