India SME Forum organises Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) in Pune under the RAMP Program

India SME Forum, in collaboration with Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (MSSIDC Ltd.), successfully organised a Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme on the 6th and 7th of November, 2025, at Pune to support MSMEs in Export Development. 

The proceedings witnessed the participation of over 378 MSMEs from Maharashtra and 45 first-time international buyers from 16 countries. More than 522 B2B meetings were successfully conducted during the two-day event, providing a strong platform for export linkages and international collaborations.

A major highlight of the RBSM was the signing of 32 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), where MSMEs from Maharashtra have won export business for sampling worth USD 1.47 million (INR 13 crore) vide deal memos with New-to-India buyers from 9 countries at the RBSM held in Pune. Sample purchases, if cleared, would be able to generate USD 116.77 million of exports from New-to-India buyers. 

Apart from direct export orders, Entrepreneurs from New Zealand expressed interest in investing USD 12.25 million (INR 115.25 crore) in the form of trade JVs and FDIs, while the invited Entrepreneurs from ⁠Zimbabwe expressed interest in undertaking B2G purchases worth USD 1.5 million (INR 13.3 crore).

The event was inaugurated by Shri Vikas Pansare, IAS, Managing Director, MSSIDC Ltd.,  in the presence of Shri Vinod Kumar, President, India SME Forum; Smt. Prashali Digavkar, Joint Managing Director, MSSIDC Ltd., Shri Narendra Jena, Deputy Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India; and Ms. Sushma Morthania, Director General, India SME Forum. Speaking on the occasion, Shri  Pansare emphasised that the preparation and the groundwork for the Export Development initiative covered over 6 months with outreach to buying communities around the world and the RBSM Initiative will continue to play a vital role in enabling Maharashtra MSMEs to achieve sustainable growth, expand exports, and contribute significantly to the state and national economy. Shri Narendra Jena, Deputy Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, highly appreciated MSSIDC and the India SME Forum for their joint focused efforts in facilitating global exposure for local entrepreneurs and strengthening the MSME ecosystem of Maharashtra in the current situation of Market disruption, with the exports to the United States facing a tariff barrier.

A special panel discussion on “Global Opportunities for Maharashtra MSMEs under RAMP” was also organised, focusing on enhancing competitiveness, innovation, and export readiness among MSMEs. 

The Reverse Buyer Seller Meet concluded with an interactive networking session, fostering long-term trade partnerships and reinforcing Maharashtra’s position as a leading hub for MSME innovation and international business.
