Agritech start-up Ergos gets fresh funding of Rs.22.5 crore

Agritech start-up Ergos, which provides post harvest storage solutions to small farmers in Bihar, has received fresh funding of $3 million (Rs.22.5 crore) from CDC, the UK’s impact investor and development finance institution.

With this latest investment, Ergos has closed the Series A funding of Rs.81 crore. Last year Aavishkaar Capital had invested Rs.35 crore while Chiratae Ventures had invested Rs. 23.5 crore as part of the same round.

In a circular, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has said that the latest restriction will not apply to international all cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA.

The circular further says, “however, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case to case basis.”

India has established air bubble arrangement with over a dozen nations including UK, US, France, Australia and Qatar under which international flights are allowed to carry select category of passengers to and from India.
