Realme Q2 smartphone to launch in India soon!
Realme is going to have a ball in 2021 with what is showing in the year's beginning. The Oppo offshoot confirmed that it will launch the X7 series early next year.
Midway there some rumours stating that the Realme 8 and Narzo 30 series might also be launched in January. And now, Realme may be preparing for the launch of a new series in India. According to the listing on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, Realme is bringing the Realme Q2 smartphone to India.
Per tipster Mukul Sharma, Realme has got the model number RMX2117 certified by the Indian regulator. This model number belongs to Realme Q2 that was launched in China back in October alongside the Q2 Pro. But the tipster does not say about what this smartphone is going to be called in India. The Realme Q (first-generation) was a rebranded Realme 5 for China, so technically Realme Q2 should be Realme 6.
However, the Indian market has its own Realme 6 that launched in March earlier this year. As such, it becomes tricky to figure out what Realme has in store. The best feasible option is launching a new series in India because then it can continue launching successors in this series for both Indian and Chinese markets without having to think of renaming them.
In China, the Realme Q2 is priced at CNY 1,299 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. This translates to approximately Rs 14,000 in India, which is about the same price as the Realme 7 right now. If this smartphone comes to India, it will be interesting to see what price bracket it will belong to.
Whatever the case may be, Realme might bring this device soon to the Indian market and we will soon know the official name.
