The Indian government in 2021 with the intention of encouraging female entrepreneurship and giving them the confidence to start their own companies introduced the Udyogini initiative. The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is in charge of implementing the program, which offers financial support, mentorship, and training to female entrepreneurs nationwide.

Principal Elements of the Udyogini Plan:

Training Programs: The plan will set up programs for women to develop their entrepreneurial skills and abilities. This includes classes on digital literacy, marketing, accounting, business management, and other subjects to provide women the tools they need to manage a company.
Mentorship: Women entrepreneurs will receive advice from business mentors and industry professionals on developing their ventures, improving operations, handling finances, and other topics. This help for mentoring will be given in the initial phases of the company's establishment.
Easy Finance: As part of the program, the government will help women entrepreneurs get loans so they may launch new businesses or expand current ones. Up to Rs 5 lakh in collateral-free loans will be given a 7% interest subsidy.
Support for Marketing: The program will also help female entrepreneurs sell their goods and services locally and abroad. This covers assistance with attending trade shows, exhibits, and internet marketing.

In the next five years, the Udyogini plan hopes to assist over one lakh women in India. Women from underrepresented and marginalized groups in society, such as SC/ST/OBC, minorities, and women in challenging situations, shall be given preference.

The program is anticipated to increase the number of women starting their own businesses in India, provide them financial independence, and help the nation develop.
