Economic Survey 2023-24 Calls for Unshackling MSMEs

The recently tabled Economic Survey 2023-24 has highlighted the critical role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India's economic landscape while emphasizing the urgent need to address the challenges that hinder their growth. 6.  High Cost of Land: The increasing cost of land in India has become a significant obstacle for MSMEs, severely impacting their ability to establish and expand their business operations. The exorbitant land costs force many MSMEs to operate from suboptimal locations, constrain their expansion plans, or even deter potential entrepreneurs from starting new ventures altogether.
