How to Register for ZED Certification: A Step-by-Step Guide
The MSME ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) certification program aims to improve the product's quality while minimizing their negative impact on the environment. MSMEs are urged to adhere to best practices that place an emphasis on achieving zero flaws in manufacturing processes in accordance with the ZED plan. The Quality Council of India (QCI), an autonomous body established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, administers the ZED Scheme.
How do you register for ZED certification?
- Click on 'Register Now' under 'ZED Certification' on the official website zed.msme.gov.in.
- Click "Proceed" after verifying with your Udyam registration number and the associated cellphone number.
- Click 'Confirm & Proceed' after choosing the plant unit for which you want certification.
- Click "Proceed to Pledge" after entering your email address, verifying your unit location and associated plant activity.
- In the following window, click 'I/We Pledge'.
- Your application for certification was approved. Re-login using your ZED ID, password, and the pledge certificate shared on your email ID by clicking "Go to Login."
- Your unit name and address, Udyam number, the day you took the pledge, a QR code, and a certification number will all be listed on your pledge certificate.
- To apply for the bronze-level certification, click on "Bronze Certification."
- Click 'Proceed' after accepting the disclaimer.
- By providing your GST and TAN numbers, clicking "Apply Reward" will allow you to receive a joining reward worth Rs 10,000 that will be subtracted from the cost of your certification. Then, click "Proceed to Pay."
- Click 'Start Certification Process' after processing the payment.
- Re-login using your ZED username and password, then select "My Certification." the right arrow beneath the Bronze Certification box should be clicked.
- After selecting "Basic Information & Document Upload," select "Accept & Proceed."
- In the following window, select "Submit," and then add any necessary files, images, etc.
- The request is assigned to the evaluator for verification after the submission of the papers.
- You will receive an email asking you to provide papers and information.
- The evaluation report and bronze certification will be delivered via email if there are no problems with the information that was provided.
What is the joining reward's validity?
After making the ZED Pledge, this joining bonus will only be valid for one year.
How long is the certification valid?
The certificate will be valid for three years, after which the MSME must reapply in accordance with the program's deadline.
What about MSMEs operating in the services industry?
The program is only relevant to MSMEs that manufacture products at this time. The methodology for the scheme's MSMEs in services has not yet been disclosed by the government.
