MSME Ministry Reviews Impact of West Asia Crisis on Small Businesses
Union Minister for MSME, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, chaired a high-level review meeting on 2 June 2026 to assess the potential impact of the evolving West Asia crisis on India’s MSME sector. During the meeting, the Minister directed officials to closely monitor developments and formulate timely strategies to address any challenges that may arise from global geopolitical disruptions. Discussions focused on safeguarding MSMEs from possible risks related to trade, supply chains, logistics, raw material availability, and export markets. The proactive review highlights the government’s focus on ensuring business continuity and resilience for MSMEs amid global uncertainties, helping small businesses remain prepared for external economic shocks.
