Investment startup Tap Invest raises $2 million in seed funding led by Turbostart
Indian fixed-income platform Tap Invest, formerly known as 'Leaf Round,' has raised $2 million in a seed funding round, spearheaded by venture capital fund Turbostart. Other prominent investors in this funding round include Snow Leopard Ventures, along with angel investors like Kunal Shah, the Founder of Cred, and Kashyap Shah, the CPO and CEO of Creditstar UK. Additionally, existing investors, Upsparks and Superb Capital, have continued their support for the startup.
Tap Invest specializes in providing investment solutions in the fixed-income sector, such as Asset leasing and Invoice discounting. Over the past year, the platform has successfully onboarded 12,500 investors who have collectively invested a substantial sum of Rs 150 crores. The company has ambitious goals and intends to expand its investor base to 20,000 and manage a pool of Rs 500 crores by the end of 2024.
The founder and CEO of Tap Invest (formerly known as Leaf Round), Nishchay Nath, stressed the importance of the fixed-income investment category in India, where it now makes up around 70% of all investment assets.
