UP MSME Minister confirms mega textile park to come up in Lucknow and Noida
According to Uttar Pradesh's MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, a mega textile park will be built in the state capital, which would offer employment opportunities to about five lakh people. The state government has given its approval to the idea, and the park will be established over a 1000 acres in Malihabad neighborhood of Lucknow. It will be implemented as part of the PM Mitra plan of the central government, for which a financial contribution of Rs 1000 crore will be made.
Another mega apparel park has been planned to come up in Noida, for which land has already been allotted. This project has attracted investment of Rs. 3000 crore for 115 units and will offer employment opportunities to two lakh people.
According to the MSME Act, 73 new MSME units were established in the first 100 days of the current administration, said the MSME minister. Sachan further stated that the state had 1,20,217 registered units on its Udyam Registration website.
