New Features of PMEGP announced by PM Modi in June

PM Modi on 30th June, launched new features of Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The new features have revised the manufacturing project cost from INR 25 Lakhs to INR 50 Lakhs and From INR 10 Lakhs to INR 20 Lakhs in the service sector. Also, the applicants that come under Aspirational districts & transgender are now included in the special category from General category, and are now eligible to avail higher subsidies. From the F.Y 2022-23 to F.Y. 2025-26, there is a target of creating 4 Lakh new units over the next 4 years, generating 32 Lakh employment opportunities. MSMEs can now go and take advantages of these new features of the PMEGP Scheme.
