Tamil Nadu inviting applications for MSME Awards

The government of Tamil Nadu is asking micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to apply for special awards. These awards recognize the best performing and most innovative small businesses in the state.

There are over 50 lakh  MSMEs operating in Tamil Nadu which are providing employment to more than 1 crore people. The MSME awards aim to encourage these businesses that are being creative and innovative to compete better in India and globally.

The awards will be given at both the state level and district level across six different categories. The award categories include:

- Best Agricultural Entrepreneur 

- Best Woman Entrepreneur

- Best Performance by an Entrepreneur

- Best Quality and Exports

- Overall Best Entrepreneur of district

- Overall Best Entrepreneur of state

These awards provide recognition to the top achieving small businesses in Tamil Nadu for the year 2023-24. Interested MSME owners and entrepreneurs can apply online at the FaMeTN website:  awards.fametn.com.

The deadline to submit applications for the MSME awards is May 20, 2024. The eliibility criteria to apply for the awards is that the MSME should have been in continuous manufacturing for last 3 years. Eligible entrepreneurs from any district in Tamil Nadu can apply to be considered for an award in one of the categories.

By hosting these annual awards, the state government wants to appreciate the contributions of MSMEs and motivate them to keep innovating. The awards celebrate the most successful small businesses that are boosting the economy and job creation in Tamil Nadu.
