New Opportunities for Andaman & Nicobar, MSME Ministry Expands PMEGP
The Indian government has made some important changes to help people living on Andaman & Nicobar islands to start their own businesses. These changes are a part of the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
Now, islanders can get help to start businesses in poultry farming, dairy farming, and goat rearing. This is great news because it gives people more ways to make a livelihood.
To help people learn these new skills, special training courses have been set up. These courses will teach everything needed to know. The training is being organized by the A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board in collaboration with the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
MSMEs interested in these new opportunities and are between 18 and 45 years old, can apply for this training program. Interested MSMEs have to fill out an application form, which is available on https://www.andaman.gov.in/index . The deadline to apply is July 15, 2024.
After finishing the training, individuals will have the chance to get financial help to start their own business. This is all part of the government's plan to help more people become self-employed.If you're interested, you can submit your application form physically at the A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board office in Port Blair or send it by post.
This new program is a big step towards helping islanders create their own jobs and improve their lives.
